DAEMOS is spreading out to the world with their new multi-part album. Surface marks the first of four 3-song albums to be released in 2007. Through the web and expanding shows, a loyal fan base is increasingly discovering this new music. With innovations such as three voiced guitars (bass, baritone and standard) and harmonized screams, DAEMOS is taking metal in a new direction.
The word has not only spread from highly-anticipated Daemos shows, such as opening for Judas Priest at the L.A. House of Blues and Testament at the famed Whisky A Go-Go, but also by their unrelenting flyering campaigns. This has led to sharing the stage with many others: Strapping Young Lad, In Flames, Death, Nevermore, Iced Earth, Six Feet Under. And they have forged their own path with shows up and down the California coast as well as Arizona, Texas and Nevada.
Bassist, Matan Chaffee, joins drummer, Kevin Wood as the beating heart of the DAEMOS rhythm section. Many of the new songs feature the bass as one of three guitar voices along with Victor Baddour and Eric Nunes. All three lend their voice to the music with screams and harmonies, with the majority of the load by Victor.
